Strong magnet – To start off I have never used a vent holder because I don’t feel like they’re very sturdy, I usually use windshield mounts and cd mounts. I purchased this on a whim because I saw the 2 legs and the hooked arm for the design so I figured I would give a shot. As soon as I pulled it out of the box I wanted to see how strong it was, boy is strong. Took my phone right out of my hand. That was cool I thought so then I installed it in my car and it seems solid. 5 stars, will update if anything happens but again I think this thing is solid. Definitely will buy again for my wife’s car. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a mount that’s strong and not going to hurt the wallet.

The first and last vent holder I’ll ever need – For years I was using a suction cup mounted dash mount, but after upgrading to a larger phone, it was a little too cumbersome. What I was looking for in a mount was that it was Magsafe compatible and stable. This mount having three mounting points in addition to adjustable mount clip fit the bill with flying colors. I really appreciated how fast it was to install and remove until I got just the right position. Plus as an added bonus, having my phone on the vent rather then the dash means it’s within closer reach to tap next song but still not interfere or block wiper controls.

Great little device – I’ve previously purchased – and returned – MagSafe windshield mounts from “the big names”. Wasn’t happy with them; sticky base plates instead of suction cups, awkward extension arms, and worst of all, poor magnet grip. Decided to try this ESR vent mount and I’m glad that I did. It’s much more low key than a windshield mount and it doesn’t totally block my vent (I have it mounted on my side vent, to my left). The attachment was simple – the only trick was that I had to FULLY extend the hook piece before I could get it to rotate so it faced down to grip the vent plate. I really like how the hook grips the the back of the vent plate and the 3 feet stabilize the unit against the dash. Plus, before I installed this in the car, I put my phone on the MagSafe plate, held it upside down, and shook. Vigorously. (Over my bed.) The phone stayed attached. This is a keeper.

So this with a little compromise on my part, works actually perfectly for me. First impressions are very good! Solid magnet and build quality – Right when I got the phone mount I tested the magnetic strength (with Apple Silicon MagSafe Case) and it definitely surprised me on how strong it was, it’s pretty difficult to even take off my phone off the mount without worrying about somehow breaking my vent. The process to place the mount on the vent is fairly simple, and the legs were fortunately JUST wide enough to clear the width of my car vent. Will update on how it holds up during my travels and if my vent is able to hold up the phone mount with my phone while staying intact.

Right away I can tell the HaloLock is far better mounted and secured onto the air vent due to its new design and tripod legs. Straight forward easy installation.
