Awkward but seems effective – This requires a fairly big flat space to set up which took me a minute to figure out in my truck. The dash is far enough away I didn’t want my phone there or I’d constantly be leaning to do anything with it. I decided on the flat part right behind the steering wheel (see photo). With the phone in it, it obscures some of the controls but none crucial to actual driving. The phone can only be placed horizontally and I think it would be more versatile if it had a way to hold a phone vertically as well. The holder seems snug so far though and it should do ok.

Other reviewers have talked about how easy it is to install, and they’re right, The hardest part was getting the protective covering off the piece of plastic that adheres to the dashboard. The subsequent placements were a piece of cake. The phone sits in a very stable position on the top of the dashboard without any sign of slipping. I’m really happy to have found this.
