Fits Ford C-max CD slot – I was looking for a car phone mount for my C-max that wouldn’t block an A/C vent. The CD slot on my car is at the top of the dash, with a small, like, shelf under it. This phone mount, flipped upside down, fits great. The A/C vent grip that comes with it is also a unique design, that tightens against the vent very securely. So far, it seems like a great solution for this car.

outta the way – I previously had a CD phone mount and liked that it didn’t cover an air vent or most of the buttons on the center dash console, but it didn’t hold the phone up in a good position. This one allows better positioning and seems better able to handle the weight of the phone. the push button bit to open the sides to release the phone makes it much easier to use – you don’t have to fumble around holding a clamp open while putting the phone in. I was curious if I could video driving through the windshield with this and I can, but about the bottom half of the vid is the dashboard (my CD player is at the top of the center dash console). being able to adjust the arm to a horizontal position will be good for using maps on my phone and puts the phone in a closer position too. a lot of other holders I’ve found put the phone in awkward places and covered buttons and this one addressed those issues the best for me.

I tried one other brand that wouldn’t quite fit my phone (Pixel 6 with slightly bulky case), so it was with some trepidation that I bought this brand but hey, it was a good price. It arrived quickly and so far I am pleased. It fits my phone/case with room to spare and seems to grasp it securely. (However, out of habit I have a wrist strap and I routinely slip that over one of the arms just in case it were to slip out, although so far that has not happened).

2015 F150 compatible – with modification – So my F150 does still have a CD slot and that definitely is the best location for a phone mount in my personal opinion. Due to the curvature of the unit I did have to take my sanding disk to the mount and remove a substantial amount of material to make room but now it fits and holds strong!! My S22 Ultra with a otterbox does shake a little being so large and heavy (and horrible michigan roads) but it’s minimal.
