– Works just as described. If you have an otter box commuter case that doesn’t have built in magnets you’ll have to add the ring to the outside (not enough strength if you put inside, even between the hard plastic shell and rubber liner won’t work) but works great. Very sturdy and strong magnetic force. Only vibration notices was due to vibration of car and vent itself but this clamps to vent very securely.

– I had the original one and decided to switch to this model. Installed in a 2012 Equinox. It has terrible vents but surprisingly it works just fine. I find this new model a bit wobbly but so far iPhone 12 Pro Max has not fallen off. I use an Apple leather case. It seems to work better with the case opposed to no case…a bit slippery. All in all it’s good so far. Easy on and off is what I like best about this setup.
